Data-driven storytelling is all the rage these days. New sites, such as FiveThirtyEight, The Upshot and Vox, have made data the central character in their stories, but how should local news organizations be thinking about data? Does every site need a team of developers and data visualization experts? Or are there others ways to make data-driven storytelling part of the daily workflow in your newsroom?
