Jill Geisler holds the Bill Plante Chair in Leadership and Media Integrity at Loyola University Chicago. She guided Poynter’s leadership programs for 16 years. She was one of the country’s first women to head a major market TV newsroom (at age 27.) She is the author of “Work Happy: What Great Bosses Know.” She coaches and consults in newsrooms and beyond. Her management mantra: “Life’s too short to work with jerks.”
